Mode of Shipment
Containerized Breakbulk (Athwart Loading) – 48 Flatbeds
Our projects engineering division has successfully checked & verified all the checklist to understand the feasibility of loading this heavy-lift on a container ship, along with systemic data driven approach to ensure the safety of life’s at sea, our valuable cargo, vessel & port gantry safety standards. A clear road map has been developed and necessary procedures has been initiated.
- As the cargo is over-dimensional in nature in terms of dimensions & heavy weight, operation is an integral part of shipment & it involves more coordination in handling compared to standard container loading.
- A port meeting was scheduled by involving various parties like berthing terminal operation team, loading team, stevedoring team, forwarding partners and other operation related team.
- During the meeting, we had a discussion on a lifting plan, berthing schedule, Port crane arrangements, additional gears etc.,
- A detailed report has been submitted to owners, customers & other parties involved regarding the planning & loading sequence.
We have collected the cargo from the shipper factory on a special low-boy trailer with police escort, post road survey & delivered the cargo to port. cargo was delivered in low-bed alongside the month vessel on wharf.
In order to have control of shipment due to its complex nature, our team has purchased the SOC rates from owners, it’s our responsibility to load 48 x 40’FR containers onto the mother vessel using the Port Gantry Crane.
Onboarding highly professional & trained stevedoring team with necessary securing & safety equipment’s.
Post receiving the approvals from master & stevedoring team, using spreader bar & elephant slings, cargo was loaded.
Onboard stevedoring team, provided sufficient dunnage and lashing material to stuff the cargo on a platform designed using 48 x 40’FB.
Athwart loading has been successfully completed.
Lashing surveyor has arranged at load port to provide the marine warrant certificate and submitted to VO & Customer.
Similar way, unloading was carried out in discharge port ensuring the smooth & safer delivery of cargo to our customer
It’s a highly customized & cost-effective solution to our customer.
